Squealing Pig is a tale about a pig who wanted more from life than just his pig pen. Keen on wine, but not a fan of the bore that you get with it, he went on an adventure around the world to New Zealand and France, Italy and Argentina, seeking out wines with a difference. This Squealing Pig 13.5% ABV Puglia Primitivo red wine case from Southern Italy (6 x 75cl Bottles) contains an inky purple red wine with aromas of berry fruit flavours, blackcurrants and prunes with hints of balsamic and cinnamon. The palate is a rich wine with black cherry and plum flavours and a liquorice edge, balanced by a soft tannin structure. The grapes were hand harvested during the early morning, destemmed and gently pressed without damaging the delicate skin. The wine blend was fermented at a controlled temperature for 8-10 days and aged in American oak barrels for the final 5 months.
